Hi, I’m Dr. P—and after 33 years in nursing, I know exactly what it feels like to outgrow a role.

I’ve been a critical care nurse, a nurse educator, a professional development leader, and a researcher. I’ve mentored hundreds of nurses as they pursue advanced degrees and walked beside them through burnout, uncertainty, and reinvention.

But here’s the truth most people won’t say out loud: career transitions are stressful.

As I navigated my pivot, I found myself questioning what was next and how to make my experience matter in new spaces.
